| About Mexico |

Population:  105,000,000

Population of Mexico City:  Aprox. 26,000,000

Religions:  89.7% Roman Catholic, 5.2% Protestant
2.6% Charismatic and Pentecostal

Mexico City increases by 5,000 new inhabitants a day. One thousand or so neighborhoods are without an evangelical congregation. Especially needy are the upper-class areas.

At least 50% of the population is under 20 years of age. Few churches have targeted the younger generation, but we believe that harvest time has come.

The average year round temperature for Mexico City is a beautiful 72 degrees. Rainy season begins around May and continues through September. During rainy season it will rain everyday, usually for just a short time though. In the winter, December through March, the temperature can fall below 50 degrees - which is cold considering there is no heating in the houses.

Traffic can be a challenge as an average day will have 2,000,000 cars on the road at one time. Because of automobile and factory contamination, all vehicles are restrained from driving one and sometimes two to three days a week.
